Moss, mould, and lichen are common on roofs throughout New Zealand, especially in damp, shaded, or coastal areas. While they might look harmless at first, these growths trap moisture that slowly damages your roofing material and shortens the life of your roof. Over time, moss can lift tiles, weaken metal surfaces, block gutters, and cause leaks that lead to expensive repairs.

DIY roof cleaning may seem cheaper, but it can damage roofing materials, create leaks, or shorten the life of your roof. A professional roof cleaning service ensures the correct cleaning method is used for your specific type of roofing, giving you safe, lasting results.
